I'm sorry but if that child was able to cry then I'm more than sure he was self aware. I don't think crying is a reflex, it's a reaction based on his comfort level at the moment. I think if I was being flung around like that I wouldn't be very comfortable either. They should have just swaddled the little guy up in a blanket and let nature take its course. Poor little bugger. |

Then let it die peacefully, don't fuck around with a camera phone and shake it around. How would you like it if someone kept you alive by shaking you and performing heart compressions just so they could film you crying for a few more seconds? In my eyes it doesn't matter if the baby doesn't have any higher brain function it's still a living being.
