Hope you don't end up being the HandlessHorseman, and any medication you might be on doesn't stop you enjoying a drink tonight; or any time, really.

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

Yeah, they took a 1 foot by 9 inch piece of me for my hand.
They took your foot, too? That's rough, man.

And a 9 inch piece? I'd rather lose my hand.

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

HAPPY NEWS YEAR TO ALL!!! I got some fresh pictures for you all if you want. Took them all (except 20131228_094408 and my best pal Fido) last night, December 30th 2013. Things are coming along slowly but in the right direction. I have even been working in the shop. I do a few hours working, a couple hours rest, a few hours working . I must be very careful to not hit it or strain it and keep it clean. I wish I could rest but being a single parent with mortgage and all the other bills, I gotta get some dollars rolling in. I don't even want to think what the week in the Intensive Care Burn Unit is gonna cost me. Oh, well as long as I'm alive and have my kids and dog all will be well. Money is just paper, nice to have but really not good for much more than toilet paper or starting a fire in the wood stove. Thought I would through in a picture of my little Fido, she is an awesome friend, ALWAYS there for me.
I wish you a happy, healthy and safe New Year, HeadlessHorseman, and to everyone else as well

I thought of Frankenstein when I saw the updates. Starting singing, "Monster Mash!"

No offense intended :)

Wow. Looks nasty, but at least you are on the right track. Really glad you shared this whole thing….I cannot believe how bad the damage is and you left it so long…the agony!!! PS, can we have a pic of the dog?

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

Bet you don't hate hospitals so much now. I wonder what the cost of that neglect was in dollars and cents ? Compared to a trip to the clinic or emergency room when it first happened....

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

Thank God for the NHS. When I say God I mean not God (doesn't exist).
