My grandfather said that the flash was so bright that the people that were evaporated their shadows were burnt to the sidewalks. Basically it took their picture

hm, wow this is a heated post. I saw some posts I didn't agree with... Japan wouldn't surrender. So America said "we have an atomic bomb," and the Japanese just laughed at us and mocked us. So we dropped the first one. We warned them again, we have another one, and they laughed at us and mocked us once more. So we dropped it. We said we have one more, and they finally gave in. Was the Atomic Bomb appropriate to end the war? The better question is, is the Atomic Bomb to powerful for man? The bombs back then are just fire crackers compared to what we have today... |

I'm not convinced that this guy was burned. He still has both ears in their entirety, which certainly would have burned right off given the extent of his hideousness. Or maybe not.
