I have experienced something similar. When I was a kid I was punished by kneeling on dry rice for at least 30 mins. at a time. It was not fun, believe me.
Yes same here both with my mother and grandmother till CP's told them it was cruel and unusual punishment

In Hungary we had to kneel on dryed Corn. They shapes are not round, they are really hard, it was a lot of pain, done to little children mostly between the age of 5-10 years.
