I never understand how this happens! When I nursed all staples, gauze etc had to be counted and that was early 90s.

It took three or four DOCTORS to find a HOLE (fistula) on my body that leaked puss and blood. Nothing surprises me anymore

A horse could have rolled out of there and it would just be another day.

If it encapsulated, it wouldn't kill them. It probably showed up on an X-ray for an unassociated problem and they were like "Huh... that's weird..." and depending on the location, they might've suspected a tumor until they opened the person up and saw what it really was.

They're lucky it encapsulated and didn't cause any chronic conditions.

they still are counted....shit happens. we as humans arent perfect and doctors and other health care workers arent exempt from that
