I never understand how this happens! When I nursed all staples, gauze etc had to be counted and that was early 90s.

It took three or four DOCTORS to find a HOLE (fistula) on my body that leaked puss and blood. Nothing surprises me anymore A horse could have rolled out of there and it would just be another day. |

If it encapsulated, it wouldn't kill them. It probably showed up on an X-ray for an unassociated problem and they were like "Huh... that's weird..." and depending on the location, they might've suspected a tumor until they opened the person up and saw what it really was. They're lucky it encapsulated and didn't cause any chronic conditions. |

they still are counted....shit happens. we as humans arent perfect and doctors and other health care workers arent exempt from that
