Emo also stands for "Emotive" as in the music genre, though these sad pricks tend to think cutting themselves and labelling themselves as emo is "cool" I'm considered Emo due to the music I listen to and ive NEVER cut myself or gone all manic depressive and threatened all sorts of shit or wear all black and make up, these kids just want to label something that hurts their cause, in this case, emotive music is sorta cool ( for me it is at least  ) but when people cut themselves and claim to be "emo" it damages the label and then people who hear of "emo people" dont look at the label in the musical aspect.  |

Cutting is just a way of dealing with pain, some write some paint, others cut... I was a victim of self mutilation myself until I got help! It's not a good way of dealing with shit, but it worked, glad I'm cut free for over a year now! :)
