I'm Back with Another Medical Question...(tooth Extraction)
Sorry DR, but of the few sites I visit, this is the only one that has really helped me however dickish some of you can be. I had my first tooth extraction the other day; the top right rear molar. It seems to be healing fine but I've started to get a very persistent headache and I can't tell if it's related. It started on that side sort of and spread to the back of my head. Now it's on the complete other side and the tooth side seems fine now. I was taking Ibuprofen for my tooth but it does nothing for my head, so I started taking tylonel sinus for my head. It worked for a day but now my headache is so bad I feel like throwing up, and I've tried everything it feels like. Baths, a rag on my head, masturbation, but it's still hurting me terribly. I don't get to go to the doctor very much because I'm disabled and I have no one to drive me without being screamed at about being a burden. So I kind of have to rely on asking for help on the internet... So is this related? Is it something deadly? Idk, I'm dying here. |

When one pain killer doesn't work you can try taking a combination of two of them and avoid products that contain caffeine. After a tooth extraction more people experience headaches as some last till a month after extraction but usally couple of days till 2 weeks.

Former Dental assistant here.... Sometime when they extract teeth, especially in the Maxilla area, there's open pockets called Sinuses that get filled with puss and goo and can cause congestion and displaced pain. Also depends how bad the extraction was. Was it the third molar? Was it impacted?

Aww if I were near you I would so give you a ride. How unfortunate. I still think the way teeth are extracted is still quite promote despite how far we've come in medical science. Poor you, dude.
