I do know why you do this. And you DO want attention, although it's because you want someone to notice that you are hurting and you want help. You need therapy, hun. You need to find a school counselor, a psychiatrist, whatever you can get your hands on. There are clinics for people who don't have insurance, or who cannot seek help from their parents. Please, please get some help. Self-harm is an escape, an attempt to isolate and control intolerable thoughts and emotions. Everyone I've ever known who was a cutter was either abused or had an undiagnosed mental illness (my ex turned out to be bipolar).
