Re: The Boy with a Maggot Infection Inside of His Head
If that was me i'd be doing everything I could to get them out. How do you let that many maggots get in your head in the first place...

Re: The Boy with a Maggot Infection Inside of His Head
In regards to human skin, meat, and animal meat and skin. Virtually all species of maggot cannot eat live flesh, it will kill them. Frankly, the kid might have just lucked out as maggots are still used today to clean out infected wounds and lesions. The maggots eat the necrotic flesh and eat the infection, without touching the healthy pink/red skin. They might have even put them on him in an attempt to help, if they were lacking sufficient supplies.

this poor lil kid probably has them all in his brain... it sucks that his parent hadn't taken him to get help sooner.
