Re: Baby with Most of His Brain and Skull Missing Celebrates 1st Birthday
Cute or not- having the knowledge that this life is going to be nothing other than a beating heart in a sack of flesh is pretty damn selfish of those parents. It's great they are happy and feel good for their "little man"- but for their own selfish reasons, this child has to endure this shitty life so they can feel good about themselves. Fucked up. This child has NO life, he has no thoughts, he has no dreams, he has nothing- but at least he's cute right? smh

However much of an unpopular opinion it might be, I feel pretty much the same way. Yes, it's a miracle he's alive, but just because you can do something that modern medicine allows doesn't mean you should.

Re: Baby with Most of His Brain and Skull Missing Celebrates 1st Birthday
I'm gonna say this even though it'll probably bring me heat. But it was selfish for the parents to allow him to be born knowing his horrible condition. They had time to abort but instead brought him into this world with a terrible deformity. Just my 2 cents, I don't mean to be an ass. But on a lighter note; he's a very cute baby and I'm glad to hear he made it to his first B-Day. I have nothing but positives hopes that he'll make it to many more. |

If he's only got a brain stem would he even be aware of anything? Apart from basic eating and drinking to survive he would have no cognition, recognition or self awareness?! Just a breathing functioning shell really. |
