Re: To All the Smokers
i lit up a cigarette downtown on a busy street , waiting for the train . a lady walks up and says "Excuse me - but Im allergic - blah blah . ." Remember its Outside . On a busy intersection. Still I flicked it down and stepped it out to shut her up . Not TWO MINUTES LATER a bus pulls up to a stop ahead and belches out A HUGE CLOUD OF EXHAUST . Right where this lady was standing , fumes permeating . She didnt Even Notice - no change of expression . I guess she was busy on the lookout for another cigarette smoker to be a bullshit pain in the ass to |

Re: To All the Smokers
Great story and a perfect example. These people offended by second hand smoke inhale more carcinogens breathing outside every day then from your cigarette ten feet away. That was nice of you to put it out. Something similar happened to me once where this fat slob said something similar to me. I was prepared to go on a frontal assault with words but then said "Fine would you prefer this? And lifted my leg and let out a fart that vibrated the manhole covers". He said you are disgusting and I said and you are fat and left. |

Re: To All the Smokers
Sure. Why not enjoy having an ugly, wrinkled old looking leather face by the time you're 40. And enjoy shriveled gums and loose yellow/brown teeth. Enjoy the nasty cigarette bad breath and smoke stink all over you... that's a real turn on. Maybe not every smoker will get cancer, but if you do then you can enjoy suffering from that and regretting your blaze attitude towards smoking. Maybe you smokers can enjoy heroin too? What the fuck... I'm sure it's quite enjoyable. |

Re: To All the Smokers
Just stop it and suffer the withdrawal. Seriously. Fuck the patch... it only prolongs the suffering. If you just stop and suffer the cravings for a few weeks then each day will get better. As soon as you stop then just consider yourself a non smoker and forget about the idea of going back. You can't avoid all smokers or all situations so you just need to be strong. Yes, it's very unpleasant but so worth it. I quit like that almost 16 years ago and haven't even had one drag since then. Pot is a different story for me though. |

Re: To All the Smokers
I was just at a cornerstore today and they had something new at the cash register... 6 packs of Nic gum for just over 3 bucks. But I picked up a pack of smokes too... though one of these days I'll try to shave off 1/3 or 1/2 of my smokes for a day and see how I do. I don't really see the point of 'replacing' smokes with nic gum... but if I can have one nic gum for every 1.5 or 2 smokes... then cut out the nic gum it'll help me reduce my intake. I'd like to quit by summer and get out backcountry biking/camping again. That'd be sweet.
