Re: 20 Animals Whose Lives Were Changed by Bionic Science
I think this is a great post. It shows the love and dedication people have for their pets. Those pieces of equipment and the surgeries required for most of the injuries are very costly. My cat/best friend whom I walked every night on a leash like a dog (and he walked better than any dog I've ever met, I took him everywhere with me..parks, the water front boardwalk..even in a backpack for a bike ride a couple times...he sat on a pillow with his head and paws hanging out the top and never tried to jump out, just enjoyed the ride..he was so good. Would sniff noses and butts with the dogs) was run over by a police car. We raced him to the vet where they determined his spine was broken. All I could think about was that I could make him a wheelchair and it would be ok. But they had to put him down. Chunks death screwed me up for a good year before I could even function again. I would've given anything in the world and paid any price to have him still with me, even in a little wheelchair, and I'm sure that's what a lot of those owners were thinking too. Awesome post.
