Re: Work related accident resulted in death
In drivers ed class we saw "Decade of Death", a scare film. This was in 1982. The movie had stills of people that raced to beat trains, one or two brief shots of barbecued drivers ect. Nothing as graphic as the Porsche Girl pictures. Maybe it would be more effective to have a wheelchair bound person visit drivers ed to talk about their wreck and resulting paralysis. |

Re: Work related accident resulted in death
And that my friends is why you keep your sleves rolled up when working in a machine shop. Never seen anyone die in the shop like this guy but I have seen fingers lost in the bat of an eye. Machines dont feel they just cut. Watched a young apprentace machine repairman jump up into the die cavity on a press once to clear a jam . Jam cleared Press cycled and a young apperentice did not get to be an old journeyman. |

Re: Work related accident resulted in death
I assume the wheelchair bound person would not be involved in the wreck they were attending?. I was run off the road back in 93 and suffered an incomplete fracture of the spinal cord, and I can tell you first hand the last thing I wanted to see was my car. |
