I would assume the DNA is too degraded to run through CODIS. Even if it was, there's no guarantee that the donor of the sample is even in the system. The case probably ran cold because she was seen as an addict; therefore not worthy of having her case solved.

I'm not convinced that it wasn't Ruby (the man convicted and later found not guilty). Edna's son testified in his first trial that he heard a loud thump the night she was killed, but at the second trial he said he couldn't remember. I think Ruby was/is a pedophile who was molesting Edna's son, and when she came back, Ruby didn't want to give the boy back. Edna could have gone out, gotten nailed by three dudes, returned to Ruby's home, and then Ruby killed her. |
