Being respectful of people's personal choices about themselves or their own bodies is civil, humane, and decent. Behaving to the contrary makes you small-minded, petty, and worthy of nothing but derision.

Keep your own house in order and don't worry about how others are keeping theirs.

If you are stating nobody is hurt by having delusional behavior reinforced maybe you should study the subject more. Many humans base their ideas on feelings and base all their arguments on the predermined bias instead of looking objectively on the subject. Nobody wants to be wrong. But in reality, people are wrong all the time.
