Once you allow another person, be they male or female, to hit you and get away with it you either figure it out on the spot or it will figure you out down misery road. A good girlfriend of mine many years ago dated a guy who started beating her. It didn’t end well for either of them. This shit strikes a cord in me. It has a lot to do with respect. Respect yourself and others you don’t have this problem. Any person who hits another has neither.

I was in a relationship that was abusive, but I was very young. He hit me, choked me, slapped me around. I thought it was my fault. Thankfully he went back to prison and I left. I didn't see him for years..My husband and I were at a party an my ex showed up. He pissed me off, so I ran after him hitting him so hard that he went through the door and I broke his nose.
