Eh. Don't look too hard. It was just one of several possible suggestions to answer KH's question. As someone else pointed out, it could simply have been shadow. Not really important.

And the question was about urine, not feces, btw. People do shit themselves when hanging sometimes and not infrequently. But it's pretty damned rare that you'd see it sitting there on the floor.

Actually , I have offhandedly been thinking a bit morbidly about the lack of poop in many of these hanging pictures . Not just this one . :-)

It happens. Statistically it happens about half as much as bladder release does. But in most cases, only a small amount is released (according to the hundreds of hanging autopsy reports I have read) and it doesn't usually make it through the clothes. The only time you're likely to see feces in the photos is if the decedent hung themselves nude or wearing only underpants. Clearly, based on the photos we see posted here, that doesn't occur very often. Most are fully clothed or at least wearing pajamas or something.
