I hate to fire someone when they have legitimately fucked up. However, I don't think I would take my own life because I had to layoff 30% of our employees.

HA! You'd never see an American executive do that! If anything, they would take a few vacation days to "getaway and recover". Then they'd come back to continue mismanaging their business.

My guess it wasn't so much the firing of employees as it was the overall decrease in business that drove him to end it.
