no. its all a function of distance. the gas ball that comes out of the end of a gun is huge. if that gas ball enters your body, ie, you are close enough to the blast, then you suffer an internal gas expansion(explosion), as well as the lead. all lead does is make ya bleed. sticking a shotgun in your mouth/against your head is like biting a grenade.
