And this is why, despite the fact that I know the Chinese language, I never participate in getting Chinese morgue photos. Two reasons: First, most Chinese in the scene are scammers; they really can't be trusted. Second, the veracity of the photo sets cannot be verified.

If I am satisfied with fake stuffs, I don't need to be in Documenting REALity; I just need to go to tumblr or onlyfans or pixiv or whatever. But I want to see the real stuff, and I am sure that other people in this board, the "REAL death picture" board, will also want to see real stuff.

I feel that most members worth their salt around here can pretty easily discern a death fake from a real dead body. Sometimes it is difficult in very rare occasions, but most of the time it is plainly apparent.

In the case of the fake you linked here, the fact that no face was included in the images he shared here should have been enough for anyone to know. I do feel that the majority (though not totality) of image sets in this particular thread are quite real.

The Chinese distributors' motivation is profit and profit alone. If other people start distributing these photos for free, it will hurt their profit. That's why they are really against people sharing photos for free.

Like I've mentioned several times before - if anyone wants me to watermark their images + post them on their behalf (whether that be due to the reasons you mentioned above or they just can't be arsed), then just let me know.

watermarked or non watermarked, it makes no difference. as soon as the set is posted, it's value is now 0. no one will pay for something they can get for free.

Well that's not true - if the set has only been posted watermarked, then the unwatermarked version is still going to be sought after.
