Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
If anyone is interested, I can post a video of the jumper that hit the handrail I have marked with a red rectangle in the picture. It is right at the start of it and it happens quick. I have no clue how to enlarge the video or make it stable, but it is a person, and you see a puff of blood.

"Puff of blood" damn! Please do put it up. Someone here can easily enlarge the video and add a little stability to the shakyness.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I'll put in the video section. It really is not that great in terms of close up and clarity, but like you said, maybe some one on here can tweak it a bit.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
You are welcome. I put the video up under the title "Look Close" in the video section. I have three different versions of the same video up. I took my medicine last night and things got a bit foggy, so I appologize for that. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I know you guys feel sad for the people who jumped. I personally would have jumped myself. I read long ago that jumping from a high distance knowing your going to die, your body goes into a physical state of hyperventilating etc and you die/pass out mid way. So its not as bad. Anyone here know more about what I said, or know that I'm wrong, please say so. It was something I read.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I'd have a heart attack before the ground caught me, so in that sense some might have died on the way down. Others were alive and awake until they hit the ground. I think people say that just to soften the blow. A person jumping is horrible enough, so they tell themselves that they died on the way down and did not suffer. They only way they did not see what was coming was if they had a heart attack and died before impact. I saw a skydiver once that froze in fear and did not open his parachute. People told him he did not need to go skydiving, including his wife. She told him about having a bad feeling, but he would not listen. It cost him his life as a result. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Its sad and all Bill. But at that point, your either thinking of slowly burning to death, looking at your co-workers, some screaming their lungs out, some already dead, thinking about your family, thinking about everything that you will be missing out on, you know your going to die, that's a fact, and time is going painfully slow. Are you going to want to prolong your inevitable death to only suffer more? Or are you going to accept the outcome of life in the last minute and accomplish the only one last thing you can do in the moment; Jump.
