Looking at kiddie pics, buying kiddie porn mags, watching videos etc all encourages people to rape, abuse and/or kidnap little kids to make the pics or vids.

A perve might not touch the kid himself but he is supporting and encouraging those who do!
I think you are 100% correct. He may never have touched a child in his life, but he did pay for people to do it for him. I can't say that I agree or disagree with what they did to him, but if you can be jailed for murder for hiring a hitman, you sure as hell should be held responsible for paying for someone to abuse children on your behalf.
