Re: Partial Suspension Hanger (Female)
Simone, I think you hit the nail right on the thumb. At first I was thinking she was marrying someone she hated, but if she put the dress on to kill herself, then it could very well be that she put it on to punish her parents when they found her, and she actually loved her (ex) future husband.

Re: Partial Suspension Hanger (Female)
It would be very difficult to fake a hanging death. The extreme pressures to the head of the victim give tell tale indications unique to hanging, that are not apparent in other forms of strangulation.

Re: Partial Suspension Hanger (Female)
Yes, but a hanging death can still be murder. The victim may be rendered unconscious and then hung up to die. I doubt if they did toxicology testing, so we will probably never know.

Re: Partial Suspension Hanger (Female)
Depends on the country the hangee lost his/her life. If theres a real investigation, any intoxication will be usually detected and would be highly suspicious. DNA samples from the noose material, clothes and the scene will be checked. The orientation of the fibers of that ligature would be checked as well. Any forensic technican can easily see whether the rope/clothline/whatever was used to pull the victim up or whether it went the other direction. The body will leak liquids etc. from mouth, nose and the genital area as well. Forensics will check whether the traces of those on the body and clothes might be consistant with the scene. There are countless more points and imho its almost impossible for just one person to hang someone by force and mask it as suicide... |

Re: Partial Suspension Hanger (Female)
Granted all of the above. However all that is required to get away with it in some places and circumstances is some money and therefore influence with the local authorities who will neglect to do anything resembling a real investigation.

Also, arranged marriage ≠ forced marriage. Just putting that out there :-)
