Re: My Mom

i have /had problem drinkers in my family too (quite bad) but i didn't realise the drive behind doing it, do you know whether it is to block away bad past memories or is it due to boredom with life?
In my case, I think it was a bit of both. I've experienced some trauma when I was a child but also was a bit bored and unstimulated when growing up. I was a very creative kid and maybe that specific trait stood me apart from my peers. I often didn't jive well with other girls of my age and even though I've always loved men as friends, their romantic expectations sometimes got in the way. So, in a way I was quite lonely and drinking seemed to be the perfect solution to my situation (spoiler alert: t wasn't).

Re: My Mom

You're the asshole!!! I definitely tried to help my mom. You can't make someone get sober. They have to want to!!!
How old was she? My mum died at 42. Every organ in her body failed and the only relatively ok organ was her heart. Tbh I didn’t think she had one!
Here if you need to talk.

She was 60. She had so many problems. I don't think there was an organ in her body that was good.

She probably had that too but that is not what killed her. She had a hole in her intestines that they didn't know about for the surgeon guessed 6 days. It caused her to go into septic shock. Both of those reasons were listed on her death certificate.

Re: My Mom

She obviously made the right call.

Why would you want this for all the world? For other sites to easily copy and plaster everywhere?

Your mom most DEFINATELY made the right decision by your current actions. Disgusting of you to do this to the woman that gave you life. And I hope she had plenty plus YEARS living with true love, no matter if the man she fell in love with was 'your' age... it's not about 'you.'

That poor woman. I wish someone in your family would put you straight as to why this isn't cool.

In the meantime... Fuck you! (On your mom's behalf)

Glad she lived a good life without you.
Does that look like a good life? She drank so much that she was in a wheelchair at 58 because her bones were so brittle that she couldn't stop breaking them. Sounds like a great fucking life to me. I fight everyday to live for my kids and she chose to just give up. Great life. BTW Fuck you on behalf of me!!

Just because someone gave birth to you does not mean you owe them anything or have to be there for them.

Not your life or past so basically, fuck you for judging others :)
