After looking at that cross section of the brain, I now realize how deep these things penetrate into the head. It was my belief that these were only used in the slaughter industry to induce a knockout prior to immediate throat slitting.

How big is a stunner? If it's small I get that he could shoot himself in the top of his head but I thought these stunners were fairly big...

Seen one been used in a slaughter house way back, uncle took me in when I was only 15, probably why I am on here now lol.. Not so much the bolt that bothered me, it was the guy who when the cow was down, he went up to it and stuck a tube through the hole to splatter the brain was my uncles explenation.. Still remember the cows legs shaking like Fuck..  |
