Re: More Russians Brutalized by Bears
I have a feeling this will be an unpopular response, but...: It's important (to me) to remember that all biological life comes from the same source. DNA is what programs us, and as such, we have to remember that humans are just another biological creation and as such should be considered equals to bears. The part that warrants my response here is that there seem to be a lot of people who are defending the bear as "less culpable" than the humans. If you really think bears are on the same playing field as humans, then you MUST admit that bears are kind of stupid. I believe this in theory, but in practice I am a staunch conservationist... I take cottontail rabbits (which are really bad for the environment when their survival is "artifically" enabled) to the vet when I find them injured on the side of the road. All this being said, it's really kind of hateful to blame one species for inciting the wrath of another for reasons the non-aggressor doesn't understand. If any of you (and I'm going to guess that most of you were like me, a little curious, moderately to very intelligent, not super popular...) ever experienced a bully, would you stand here and defend the intentions of that bully? Well, you should have if you didn't. But by the same token, if you condemn a person who doesn't understand the "language" of another kind of brain, then you really shouldn't congratulate the other party. That's the stupidest part to me. I know I'm pretty quiet in this community, but the bias against reason that I see so often is really upsetting. |
