This 46 year old engineer was last seen by her family around 3pm on Friday afternoon. She missed a commitment later Friday evening, which was apparently quite unlike her. Her family was unable to reach her by phone, but did not start to panic until Saturday morning, when she was still off the grid.

They spent several hours calling around looking for her before finally going to the police. The police were able to arrange fora GPS trace on her cell phone, which showed that her phone was sitting in a nearby hospital parking lot.

Once the car was located, the police broke out a rear window and discovered the woman sitting in the front passenger seat with a blue cord wrapped around her throat.

The coroner estimated that she had been dead just short of 24 hours. One of her arms was trapped between her body and the door due to the way her body was positioned (possibly to try to escape the car) and the trapped circulation caused that arm to exhibit much more rapid decomposition than the rest of her. The darker tint on the skin of that arm is noticeable in the video and the articles all mentioned it as well.

The police indicated that foul play was almost a certainty and that forensic evidence located on the passenger seat made it a certainty that she was strangled from behind and died in that seat. Given the frequency of bladder/bowel voids during strangulation and the obvious staining on her shorts, I'd assume that they're referring to the seat being soiled as she choked out. She had kicked off one of her sandals during the struggle, but the other clung tightly in spite of the thrashing.

The autopsy was completed two days later, with cause of death being asphyxiation due to ligature strangulation.

No suspects have been named, but she had allegedly been seeing a new boyfriend for barely two weeks and he is currently considered a POI.

They got the killer.

Jeferson Borges de Souza, 34, told the Civil Police (PC) that he had murdered engineer ADV, 46. He was arrested on Thursday, 9/1. According to the deputy Paulo Martins of the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS), the crime occurred in Santo Antônio, in the west.

The delegate explained that the engineer made personal loans and it was up to the man to be part of the charges.

Jeferson told police that the engineer was angry about defaulting on some loans and had pressured him to make the charges. On the 3rd, he calledher to go to Santo Antônio and when he met her on the spot, got in her car and with a cloth belt strangled her to death.

“He says she threatened him a lot and was very aggressive. No longer supporting the pressures decided to commit the crime. The most curious thing is that he even went with his body to Tarumã to get rid of him, but he didn't have the courage. Then he left the car in the parking lot of the 28 de Agosto Hospital, ”said the delegate.

Her body was found on Saturday afternoon, 4/1, in the hospital parking lot, inside the car. According to the delegate, surveillance cameras helped in identifying the suspect.

Jeferson was indicted for the crime of homicide. He will be referred for custody hearing.
