I have read lots about british serial/mass murders. As far as the search for Keith Bennett goes I personally do not think that they will find him as sad as it is. His mother still goes up and puts flowers on the moors and she also goes up there with a shovel and personally digs for her son. The moors are always moving and shifting so after this much time there is no way that his poor little body would ever have been in the same place.

Moors murderer Myra Hindley has died in hospital following a chest infection, at the age of 60.

As far as i can make out, Hindley and Rose West were never in the same prison.

The carefully cropped photo of Lesley in the first post was released with the permission of her mother for a 1999 BBC documentary - the aim was to maintain enough public outrage ensure that Hindley would not be paroled. Apparently the mother wished the tape recording to be broadcast also, but the programme makers thought it too horrifying for the public. The most accurate transcript is in Jonathan Goodman's book on the case but here is a slightly edited one I found online:

CHILD: (screaming) "Don't! Mum, ah!"
WOMAN: "Shut up!"
CHILD: "Please, god, help me! Ah - please - oh!"
WOMAN: "Come on."
CHILD: "Please, please - oh! (faintly) Help, oh! I can't while you have hold of my neck. Oh! (loud scream)...(shrieking) Help!"
WOMAN: "Sh...sh...sit down and be quiet."
MAN: "Go on."
(Lesley crying)
WOMAN: (whispering) "You'll be alright...sit down and be quiet."
MAN: "Come on."
(Lesley's crying becomes muffled - something has been stuffed in her mouth)

It's Ian Brady, not Ian Stewart.
(And no he didn't get married!)

The guy's name is Ian Brady not Stewart. He is being force fed in prison as he is on hunger strike. Myra Hindley died of cancer a few years ago.
