The Mirror tabloid (England) is currently running a story about Pitt Bulls, and how any dangerous dog should be banned, I have a tiny Jack Russell that would bite if severely provoked, should he be euthanized for getting the hump with someone, or could it be that they deserved it.
Having just made that statement, I would not let a Pitt Bull loose unsupervised with kids, but only because every one and every thing has a breaking point, and kids unwittingly would push and push until the pooch got the hump and bit them.
I would be more inclined to euthanize the dog's owner.

My neighbor has one, and he is the sweetest dog, he lets his 2 year old daughter play with him. Not all pits are bad. i believe it how they are raised.

Wow, I have chow chows, all mine are nice, although one is deemed potentially dangerous by the humane society because he jumped the neighbors fence, and she said she was afraid for her life. he was a 6 month old pup. Last summer I caught her throwing rocks at them in our own yard. Of course they aren't going to like that. Now we have to pay 150.00 a year for a special permit, and he has to be on a tie down in the yard, and I have to be outside with him, and have a muzzle on when we leave the yard. He has never bit anyone, and he is very nice loving dog.
