Man Found Dead in Louisiana Swamp (2008)
P.M. and K.M. were married in 1981, built a home on 15 acres, and had a daughter in 1988. K.M. worked at a local plant, while P.M. was a seamstress. By August 2007, after 27 years of marriage, their relationship fell apart, leading K.M. to file for divorce. The divorce was finalized in April 2008, with K.M. keeping the house and P.M. receiving $110K. Disappearance & Discovery On June 16, 2008, K.M. was reported missing after failing to show up for work. He was last seen heading to the former marital home to meet P.M. His car was later found abandoned in Dallas, raising suspicions. Three days later, his body was discovered in a Louisiana swamp, bound and shot in the back. Investigation Authorities learned P.M. had asked her friend H.B. to help dispose of K.M.’s body. H.B. later confessed P.M. had called him, saying K.M. was dead and they needed to go to "alligator country." They transported the body to Louisiana, weighted it with cinder blocks, and left it in the swamp. H.B.'s phone records placed him in Louisiana, contradicting his initial alibi. Arrest & Conviction H.B. was arrested but cooperated, leading to P.M.'s arrest. In a recorded conversation, P.M. admitted to shooting K.M., expressing disbelief at her own actions. She also revealed the murder weapon had been disposed of in Lake Texoma. In June 2009, P.M. was convicted of murder and sentenced to 80 years in prison. H.B. took a plea deal, receiving 10 years of probation for his cooperation |

Re: Man Found Dead in Louisiana Swamp (2008)
There was an accomplice that transported the body and he only got 10 years probation for helping the case. I can send the FOIA if you want to do more research
