If it is cropped from the larger pic of his body then I cringe to see the entire picture

The only photo of the David Bruce-Brown fatal crash that I could find from practice for the 1912 Grand Prize at Milwaukee.

Bruce had won the 1910 and 1911 American Grand Prize races but his luck ran out when running at 90mph his tyre burst, the car rolled and both driver and riding mechanic Scudalari were thrown out. Both died of head injuries.

But they are black, and look close to being the same

His Racing suit also shows signs of injuries underneath and possible burn marks

This is Frenchman Maurice Fournier at the French GP 1911 at the Le Mans course driving a 1907 Corre-La Licorne with his riding mechanic Georges Louvel.

Maurice was in second place, chasing the leader Hemery when the front axle collapsed, the car overturned and caught fire. The driver was crushed under the car and the mechanic was thrown out, which inflicted serious injuries.

The last photo is moments before the crash and Maurice can be seen looking down at the front of the car to the axle area as he can feel he has a problem.

These photos are from the 1936 Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil and female racing driver of the 1930's, Helle Nice in a Bugatti.

Helle crashed into a straw bale that had managed to find it way into the track and the car was launched in the crowd of spectators, killing at least three and injuring dozens more. She was thrown from the car and landed on a spectator, this apparently saved her life but killed the bystander....

I know a guy very well that is on the Fire Rescue Crew at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and has been for years (Turn 2). He wasn't there in '82 but a couple guys he works with were and even before Dr. Olvey's book, I had heard it was spectacularly gruesome. It SHATTERED EVERY bone in his body, and I heard it was very tough to even handle the body cuz it was like mush...

The guy I know was one of the first on the scene of Tony Renna's fatal testing crash, and he has told me a LITTLE of the first-hand details. He's a full time firefighter and has seen a lot but said that he couldn't sleep well for a couple weeks after seeing that. From what he said it was similar to Smiley's crash, in that, pieces of him were stuck in the catch fence. I know they're not crashes but if anyone is interested I have some GREAT pics from the Garages (drivers,cars,Legends) in Indy the last 3-4 yrs. I have garage passes every yr good for all days BUT raceday. If anyone would want me to share any of any particular driver/car or anything send me a Private Message on here. I just want to share SOMETHING as u all do such a great job keeping this thread alive and entertaining. Here's one of me and Wheldon from 2011!
