Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Some more photos of the José Luis Jiménez and Atilio Viale del Carril wreck. All of the information with these South American photos is a bugger to translate so sorry for any confusion. This was in Argentina not Brazil.

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
The Ferrari 637 was to be Ferrari's debut racer for the American CART series. It was designed by Gustav Brunner and although tested and shown to the press in 1986, it never raced. A March 85C-Cosworth was tested by both Rahal and Ferrari driver Michele Alboreto at the Fiorano test track (picture 4) and this car was used as the development mule for the full Ferrari version. The body was a mix of aluminium attached to a carbon frame. The Type 034 engine was a turbocharged 32-valve, 90-degree 2.65-litre V8 unit. Same it didn't race, its still a beautiful car.... |

The same track and series four years later and Gustavo Sondermann spins on a wet track and is hit by a number of cars. He suffers cardiac arrest and sadly dies of his injuries.
