Re: How to Dig a Grave

Seems grave digging the manual way is not as straight forward as I would have imagined.

Re: How to Dig a Grave

Once somebody is interred, it generally requires some not too easy to obtain legal orders to exhume them for any reason. I understand that in France, and the rest of Europe, graves are used over and over with the bones stored in ossuaries or catacombs.
biodegrables will help a lot when recycled...

Re: How to Dig a Grave

The way I see it my job is easier than many others. but I keep quiet about it...but on the other side I feel that I earn my bread honestly.
nah. its not easier at any given time. dead people takes a lot of time getting used to. and any work done honestly is work worthwhile. if my first and only here is still available, it was a first hand pic. i saw it personally. after a few years in dr i thought i could take it personal. first time i saw one, i had someone take the pix because i was busy decorating the bushes with my previous meals... keep up the good work and we thank you for sharing it to us...

Re: How to Dig a Grave

Hi Sylvz88. I have only just discovered the first set of pics you posted a year or so ago of the bodies you dug up. I cannot believe I missed them and thank goodness you posted this because it made me go and look up that other post.
I can't thank you enough for posting these pics. It's something I've always been fascinated about, death and dead bodies...hell, that's why I am on D.R. Fantastic post and fantastic pics.
i'm glad you appreciate those exhumations pics , only I was photographing myself and it was not so easy with the big dirty gloves and everything...
but the cadavers were quite impressive tout à fait .... especially this one :

Yes this transformation is called adipocere. and it can stay a very long time like this if you maintain the same specific environment.

Re: How to Dig a Grave

I love the word 'adipocere'. Learned of it some time ago looking at dead body sites, but never seen it for real like you have. What a fascinating job you have.
