[Vedderman]

This teenage girl was home alone on a day off from school while her parents were at work. While she was there, a total stranger forcibly broke into the house and attempted to rape her at knife-point. She resisted and screamed for help loudly enough that the neighbors heard her.

Her neighbor, a teenage boy around her age, arrived on the scene and caught the perp trying to rape the girl. When the would-be rapist saw that he had been busted, he slashed the girl's throat and tried to kill the boy, as well. The boy's hand was severely injured and the invader escaped. The boy tried to chase him but was slowed by his injuries and the teenage girl bled out on the bed. She left a hell of a mess behind and was dead before the paramedics arrived.

A suspect has been captured, but was not positively identified by the injured neighbor.

Goddamn...glad the neighbor was heard and actually decided to check it out and help! Nowadays, I feel like we try to avoid conflict and risking our own safety for the sake of others, or we don't take cries for help seriously.

To be honest whilst it was a good deed that he did, there's a chance she'd still be alive if he didn't go and check it out as the invader might not have panic killed her because he knew he was caught.
