18-19 year old girl. Almost no details thus far, still digging in the socials for ID.

Full suspension hanging. No note, no background.

I don't see any livor or obvious rigor. Plus, there's still a partially drying puddle of urine visible under her feet in the first (discovery) video but the later ones inside the house as they are taking her down don't show it at all. So I would guess she was not dead long, perhaps less than 30 mins, before discovery and was taken down somewhere between 30 mins and an hour after that.

Anyway, here is an antemortem, an alternate angle vid, a slightly longer version of one of your vids (though perhaps lower res) and a few extra images.

Further, I have some statements from the two guys who found her body and from her sister.

Translation is a bit rough, but conveys the gist.

"We saw the girl standing by the tree while we were jogging, and the he asked the woman why are you so sad? She didn't answer, and we thought it was because she was watching on his cellphone. We also saw that there was a rope, and at first thought maybe it was a sleeping hammock but then saw that she was hung. None of the residents who passed by knew her. The police arrived around 4am and did not take her down, but it has been some time since when she was hung here on the side of the road. Oh my god, she's just a young girl, she was tied to a rope, her feet were still in sandals, her tongue was sticking out, her shorts were all wet, there's no wounds, her skin is all pale, her legs are just white and cold. At 4 in the morning, she was hanging from the mango tree. . This is going to be investigated. There's no family claim for this woman. She is so young, why would she think so short or did someone hang her?"


Her sister made a few posts and mentioned that people were worried it was a murder because her feet were on the ground, but the sister clarified that there was a lengthy note and the police confirmed it was suicide.

Based on posts from the sister and the guys who found her, as well as responder blogs, she was fairly freshly dead when discovered, but it was almost 2 hours until the police took the body down.
So the various videos and photos were likely taken by several people across a span of a few hours.

Young woman was found hanged at her boyfriend's mother's house, where she lived in Venezuela.

Her own parents had died several years earlier and she spent most of her teens moving between various relatives. Recently, she had moved in with her boyfriend and his mother; it was his mother who found her body shortly after she'd died.

Her extended family and some of her friends have raised a big stink saying that the boy was abusive towards her and they think he strangled her and staged a hanging.

The scene report and excerpts from her postmortem indicate a strong likelihood of hanging. She had no discernible injuries aside from the ligature furrow caused by the noose, which was a bed sheet.
Her tongue was swollen and protruding; her jeans were soiled from losing control of her sphincters while dying. Both are very common in hangings, but of course can occur in strangulations as well.

The report did mention that one of her breasts was exposed, but there was no indication of sexual assault and based on the photos it was a very small top that likely slipped upwards while she was convulsing/posturing during asphyxiation.

There are two factors, however, that have the police continuing with a protracted ivnestigation.
#1. There is CCTV footage from the day before clearly showing the two of them having a physical and verbal altercation while on a motorcycle. Eventually she either gets off and tries to leave or he pushes her off, but winds up pulling her hair and knocking her around a bit. This footage is a large part of why her 'people' are pushing for a murder investigation.
#2. When the boyfriend heard that he was wanted for questioning, he skipped town and is still on the run several days later. He may just be scared of a frameup or he may be guilty. Whatever the case, it is very bad optics for him.

All the same, this really looks like a suicidal hanging to my amateur eye. And the forensic and postmortem notes seem to support that. I doubt the dumb 18 year old wannabe thug she was dating could have successful staged a fake suicide, but you never know. And he is in the wind.

Venezuela doesn't let a lot of pics out most of the time. I have two of her. One uncensored one that is taken second hand from a cell phone, so quality is dicey. And one actual scene photo of her that is better resolution, but obscures much of her face.

He is a member of the Bolivian national police so guess he panicked when he saw her hanging as she is found hanged in his bedroom. Nobody can be that stupid to hang someone inside their own room at his mother's house and being a member of the police and think you get away with it. However fleeing won't help either.
