আকতার মিমকে (২০) ধর্ষণের পর হত্যার অভিযোগ উঠেছে ক্লিনিকের মালিক এসএম নাজিম উদ্দিন বাবুর বিরুদ্ধে। এ হত্যার ঘটনাটি আত্নহত্যা বলে থানা ওসি শামছুল আলমের সহযোগিতায় জোর প্রচেষ্টা চালানো হচ্ছে বলে নিহতের পরিবার অভিযোগ করেন। ধর্ষণ ও হত্যা ঘটনাটি সুষ্ঠ তদন্ত ও এর সাথে জড়িতদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবিতে মানববন্ধন ও সমাবেশ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

এ ঘটনায় ক্লিনিকের মালিক এসএম নাজিম উদ্দিন বাবু (৫০), তার স্ত্রী মোমেনা বেগম(৪০) ও ভাতিজা রকিকে(২৮) আসামী করে বুধবার নওগাঁ মোকাম বিজ্ঞ ৪নং আমলী আদালতে একটি মামলা দায়েরের প্রক্রিয়া করেছেন মিমের বাবা মিজানুর রহমান। এসএম নাজিম উদ্দিন পতœীতলা উপজেলার কাঞ্চন দক্ষিণপাড়ার গ্রামের মৃত মহির উদ্দিনের ছেলে।


গত ১৮ নভেম্বর বুধবার সকালে তানিয়া আকতার মিমের অনুমোদনহীন ডায়াগনস্টিক সেন্টারের একটি ঘর থেকে শরীরে শুধুমাত্র একটি কালো ওর্ণা মোড়ানো অবস্থায় বিবস্ত্র অবস্থায় অর্ধ-ঝুলন্ত মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ।

নিহত মিম জেলার ধামইরহাট উপজেলার মইশড় গ্রামের ভ্যান চালক দরিদ্র মিজানুর রহমানের মেয়ে। তিনি ধামইরহাট সরকারি এমএম কলেজের দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির ছাত্রী।
নিহতের পরিবার ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, বাবার পাশাপাশি সংসারের হাল ধরতে সুন্দরী তানিয়া আকতার মিম গত এক বছর আগে নজিপুর ইসলামিয়া ক্লিনিক এন্ড ডিজিটাল ডায়াগনস্টিক সেন্টার রিসিপসনিস্ট পদে যোগদান করেন। মিম সুন্দরী হওয়ায় ক্লিনিকের মালিক এসএম নাজিম উদ্দিন বাবুর কুদৃষ্টি পরে। নাজিমের কুদৃষ্টি থেকে নিজকে বাঁচাতে চাইলে তাকে চাকুরি থেকে তাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার হুমকি দেওয়া হয়। কয়েকবার মিম তার নিজ বাড়িতে চলে গেলেও মালিক নাজিম মোবাইল ফোনে চাপ দিয়ে জোর করে ক্লিনিকে আসতে বাধ্য করেন। ক্লিনিকের নীচ তলার একটি ঘরে মিম তার সহকর্মী মাকসুরার সাথে থাকতেন। তবে ঘটনার দিন মঙ্গলবার তাঁর সহকর্মী ছুটিতে থাকায় রাতে মিম একাই ছিলেন। ওই রাতেই নাজিমের লালসার শিকার হন মিম।

মিমের মা সম্পা বেগম জানান, মিম গ্রামের বাড়ি এলেই ক্লিনিকের মালিক নাজিম উদ্দিন বাবু বারবার মোবাইল করে জোর করে ক্লিনিকে নিয়ে যেতেন। মিমের সাথে ভালোবাসার সম্পর্ক তৈরী করে নাজিম উদ্দিন ধর্ষণ করে তাকে শ্বাস রোধে হত্যা করেছে। এরপর নাজিমের স্ত্রী মোমেনা বেগমসহ তার লোকজন ফ্যানের সাথে ওর্ণা দিয়ে ঝুলিয়ে রেখে পুলিশের সহযোগিতায় আতœহত্যা বলে প্রচার করে। মিমের গলায় একাধিক স্থানে আঘাতের কালো দাগ রয়েছে।


নিহত মিমের বাবা মিজানুর রহমান অভিযোগ করে বলেন, ঘটনার রাতে ক্লিনিকে মিম একাই থাকার সুযোগে ক্লিনিকের মালিক নাজিম উদ্দিন ধর্ষণের পর তার লোকজন হত্যা করে ফ্যানের সাথে অর্ধ-ঝুলিয়ে রাখে। ধর্ষণের পর হত্যার মামলা করতে গেলেও থানার ওসি শামছুল আলমসহ পুলিশ কর্মকর্তারা তাদের সাথে র্দুব্যবহার করে হত্যা মামলা বলে জোর করে সাদা কাগজে স্বাক্ষর করে নিয়েছেন। তিনি আরো অভিযোগ করে বলেন, মিম ঘরের মধ্যে মারা যাওয়ার সংবাদ পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থালে গেলেও পুলিশ কর্তরা তাদের মেয়ের মৃতদেহ ঝুলন্ত অবস্থায় দেখতে দেয়নি। নিহতের ছবিতে দেখা যাচ্ছে ফ্যানের সাথে ঝুলন্ত অবস্থায় রাখা হলেও মিমের দুই পা ঘরের মেঝের সাথে দেড় ফিট ঠেকে ছিল। তাহলে কিভাবে মারা যায়? তিনি আরো অভিযোগ করেন, মিমকে হত্যারপর ক্লিনিকের মালিক নাজিম উদ্দিন বাবু মঙ্গলবার রাতেই থানা পুলিশের সাথে যোগাযোগ করেন। এরপর মোটা অংকের টাকা ঘুষের বিনিময়ে থানা পুলিশের কর্তার ঘটনাস্থলে নিহত মিমের কাছে তাকে যেতে দেয়নি। এরপর আতœহত্যা বলে প্রচারণা শুরু করেন।

নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক স্থানীয় কয়েকজন জানান, নাজিম উদ্দিন বাবু এর মালিকানাধীন ইসলামিয়া ক্লিনিক এন্ড ডিজিটাল ডায়াগনস্টিক সেন্টারটি কয়েক বছর আগে থেকেই রেজি: ২০১৫ ব্যবহার করে নজিপুরে ব্যবসা করে আসছিলেন। এই ক্লিনিকের কোন অনুমোদন নেই। তারপরও ভুয়া রেজি নাম্বার ব্যবহার করে প্রশাসনের নাকের ডগায় বহাল তবিয়তে কথিত সেবা দিয়ে আসছেন আর মোট অংকের টাকা হাতিয়ে নিচ্ছিলেন। সংশ্লিষ্ট প্রশাসন নিরব ভ‚মিকা পালন করে। তারা আরো অভিযোগ করে বলেন, অসহায় ও গরীব পরিবারের থেকে সুন্দরী নার্স নিয়োগ দিয়ে তাদের সাথে অনৈতিক আচরণ করার পর কৌশলে তাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার একাধিক অভিযোগ রয়েছে ক্লিনিক মালিকের বিরুদ্ধে। দ্রæত এই ঘটনার বিচার বিভাগীয় তদন্তের দাবি জানান নিহতের পরিবার ও এলাকাবাসি।

এদিকে মিমকে ধর্ষণ করে হত্যার প্রতিবাদ ও জড়িতদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবিতে শনিবার দুপূরে ধামইরহাট উপজেলা পরিষদের সামনে মানববন্ধন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। ধামইরহাট সরকারি এমএম কলেজ শিক্ষার্থী রাজু ইসলামের নেতৃত্বে শতাধিক শিক্ষার্থী, শিক্ষক-অভিভাবক ও সাধারণ মানুষ অংশগ্রহণ করেন। এতে বক্তব্য রাখেন উপজেলা যুব লীগের সভাপতি জাবিদ হোসেন মৃদু, সদরের সাবেক ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান আইয়ুব হোসেন, তানিয়া আকতার মিমের মা শম্পা বেগম, চাচাতো বোন সাদিয়া সুলতানা, উপজেলা ছাত্র লীগের সভাপতি আবু সুফিয়ান হোসাইন, কলেজ ছাত্র লীগের সভাপতি মাসুদ রানা ফারুক, ছাত্রনেতা মাহবুব আলম রাজ প্রমুখ।

ক্লিনিকের মালিক এসএম নাজিম উদ্দিন ও তার স্ত্রী মোমেনা বেগমকে না পাওয়ায় কোন বক্তব্য পাওয়া যায়নি। পতœীতলা থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) শাসছুল আলমের বিরুদ্ধে সকল অভিযোগ করে অস্বীকার করে বলেন, নিহতের বাবা নিজেই সাধারণ ডায়রি (জিডি) দায়ের করেছেন। ময়নাতদন্তের প্রতিবেদন হাতে পেলেই মিম মারা যাওয়ার প্রকৃত কারণ জানা সম্ভব হবে। যদি হত্যার প্রতিবেদন আসে তাহলে সাধারণ ভাবেই জিডিটিই হত্যা মামলায় রুপান্তর হবে।
পতœীতলা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কর্মকর্তা ডাঃ খালিদ সাইফুল্লাহ জানান, ওই ক্লিনিকের মালিক এসএম নাজিম উদ্দিন ইচ্ছাকৃত ভাবেই অসম্পন্ন আবেদন করে অবৈধ্যভাবে (রেজি:২০১৫) ক্লিনিক পরিচালনা করে আসছিলেন। অপরপ্রশ্নে তিনি বলেন, সিভিল সার্জনের নির্দেশে ঘটনাস্থালে যাওয়ায় আগেই পুলিশ নিহত মিমের মৃতদেহ থানায় নিয়ে যায়। এ ঘটনায় একটি প্রতিবেদন সিভিল সার্জন অফিসে পাঠানো হয়েছে।

Yeah, the problem is that South Asia has the highest suicide rate in the entire world and yet 75% of the posts I find from there, the decedent's family is alleging murder.

Murder staged as suicidal hanging DOES happen there more than most places, I think. But it's still pretty uncommon (notwithstanding the whole abetting suicide charge).

When reading the article on this case, you'll see that the primary physical 'evidence' they use to allege murder is:
A. bruises on her neck don't align with the noose.
(well, the noose is a loose scarf and well all know that as the body shifts postmortem, the ligature can slip around)

and
B. That her feet are still on the floor, so how could she die by hanging??!?!?
(obviously we all know that partial suspension hangings are extremely common. Indian journalists still haven't figure it out)

Always appreciate the extra info. The guy who sent me the photos didn't give any case notes. I just have my doubts about this one being a murder.

Also, as Frankie the Fecal Freak mentioned above, I am pretty sure there's a large puddle of urine directly under the body, though it could just be shadow, I suppose. In any case, if she's hanging directly above a pool of peri-mortem urine, I have serious doubts about her being strangled somewhere else and the body hanged as a ruse.

Pretty hard to grasp why the whole family committed suicide, just because their son died last year. Another article stated he was tested Covid-postitive, so his death might be linked to the pandemic, rather than just beeing an ordinary heart attack.
