India. Young woman allegedly hung herself in a police station while in custody. Her family is protesting, claiming that she was raped and murdered by the police and then hanged.

Looks like a suicidal hanging to me, but what do I know.

In India, this could be the opposite - I mean, having a toilet in a house is already a dream for many; commonly a source of happiness.

18 year old hung herself on the back patio of her home. At least she had the courtesy to do it outdoors.

Looks like she's wearing the rain boots when she hung, and kicked off the boots while she struggled...
Given the weather and location, I actually doubt that. Chances are she was wearing the flip-flops that are sitting behind her on the porch. The boots were just left outside on the patio from the last time they were used.
