Teenage girl who hung herself after an apparent breakup with a boyfriend. Was found by her brother who peeked in the keyhole and saw her hanging when she didn't answer the door. Indonesian is a little tough to interpret with the Google translator sometimes, but the details given make sense. An odd addition, though. One of the articles about her death indicated that the police did not suspect foul play, but felt that it was a suicide based on evidence at the scene. In this case, the line they used was that it was pure suicide because "Hal ini dibuktikan dengan keluarnya air kencing dan kotoran dari dubur korban". Which the software translated as "This is evidenced by victim's release of urine and feces." I found this odd, as loss of bladder and bowels is fairly common in many violent deaths, especially strangulations. The fact that it occurred in this apparent hanging hardly rules out homicide, based on my own own anecdotal experience, but I guess maybe forensics investigations work differently in Indonesia.  Anyway, photo quality is poor, but I'll add more if better versions surface. Just happened this morning, so that is possible. Edit: Added slightly better images  ·  ·  ·  · |

He complains a lot and I think the watermark issue, in particular, vexes him. That said, I don't believe English is his first language, so I'm not actually sure he intends to come off as abrasively as he does sometimes. I get a lot of my images from actually communicating with photographers and newspaper staff in other countries, for which I use translation software. When I go back and read the reverse translations for the shit I send these people, it often comes off sounding a bit like he does in his posts here: like some sort of angry autistic high school dropout. I really don't think he's trying to be hostile, so I don't take any of his verbiage personally. Even if he is being weirdly hostile, he does occasionally post some very unique and good images, so I can forgive a lot of abrasiveness in the name of fresh content.  |
