I was thinking thoroughly along the same lines. It seems to me that 'chair-on-chair' theory is most viable one. Well, the bottom chair might be upturned as well, but it didn't, why not? The upper chair slid from bottom one, and did not produce sufficient kick.

As for clenching fists - she was found before rigor mortis settled in. Fists go clenched during seizures, then relax in death. Rigor mortis gets fingers curling in (and the thumbs often settle in awkward positions. :)

The overturned chair may be taller than the upright one. You can see that the legs and back rails are different.

Yes, the chairs are different and it's impossible to judge the relative height with certainty. My best guess is that she set one chair on top of the other and either had some slack or the rope stretched somewhat before she was found. It certainly does look as if she was found rather quickly based on her appearance. With the rope that long she presumably swung around somewhat but apparently not enough to knock the other chair over.

Her neck is elongated, but as far as I can tell does not appear to be broken. Am no expert on that sort of thing, mind.
