Hanged herself with a rope in the shed under her home. She had lunch with her father, then he left to go fishing and when he returned, she was hanging. He called for help and the neighbors helped him take her down, but she was already dead.

The police indicated that the family said she'd been depressed over a breakup and accepted suicide as a ruling. They refused an autopsy (waiver of refusal enclosed in photos) and did not implicate the boyfriend.

Police agreed and entered suicide as cause of death.

The representative of the Suppa police stated, "Though an autopsy was refused, the visual examination showed a pure motive of suicide. This was supported by characteristics common to suicide hangings, such as ligature scarring, swollen tongue, dribbling saliva, issuing urine from the genitals, and others."

Teenage girl hanged herself in Indonesia. Locked herself in her room and family got concerned after a few hours when she wouldnt answer the door. Father kicked the door down and she was hanging. Family cut her down and moved her to the living room, so no full suspension photos, unfortunately.

Police worked the scene and indicated in the report that the ligature mark was consistent with the nylon rope used for hanging, there were no other signs of violence on her body, and she'd urinated in her jean shorts while strangling.

No autopsy as all parties agreed that suicide was significantly likely.

In Madagascar, a 29-year-old bank employee, a mother of two, was found hanged in September, 2018.

Some news report said that her husband was arrested for suspected murder, but some said on facebook that it was not the case. Anyways, the language is hard to understand so I can't tell for sure.

So, my fellow armchair coroners and forensic pathologists, is this case a suicide or murder?

Not exactly top expert, but I've done my share of postmortems. It would be highly unlikely for her backpack to remain affixed if she were being forced to hang herself and there were a struggle. Plus, the method of hanging in public is almost unheard of in murder outside of cartel violence. This is more common in people who want to exhibit their pain to the world as a final "fuck you" to their loved ones. So unless she was forced to do it at the point of a gun, I'm leaning toward suicide.
