All sources stated she was stabbed once in 'the upper thorax.' Now sometimes Google translate can make a mockery of even the best-written story, as you know, but it usually gets approximations for bodyparts correct.  I can also clearly see a puncture above her left breast, below the clavicle. I agree that she has a wound on her eye and mentioned it in the OP, but it wasn't even addressed in any of the source sites, so I assume it was a non-fatal abrasion that took place before the knife came into play. Especially with rings or jewelry on, it is easy to deliver an orbital fracture with accompanying tissue damage. I mean sure, it could be a second knife wound. Dominican news agencies are notoriously unreliable. But they all seemed to agree on this one as a single-stab fatality. |

Lots of discussion about the "point of penetration" on the deceased's body. Rather a moot point; the next penetration is likely to be from the embalmer and/or medical examiner.
