Absolutely not. The buttstock and pistol grip are that of a FN FAL (and not even the inch-pattern L1A1.)

The buttstock and pistol grip are different on the HK G3, as pictured below. The FN FAL is on top with the HK G3 at bottom.



You might be thinking, "I can't see the safety lever or action take-down lever in that picture." I think that's because he's holding the right-side towards the camera -and- the camera flipped the picture horizontally when taking the selfie. (A lot of smartphones do that depending upon whether you use the front or back camera.)

It's just camouflaged to look like an FAL after extensive cosmetic work and a rechambering.


There are far more AK's in Africa, but there are still many many many FAL's still chugging along just fine.
