Witnesses told he hugged his 4 year old son and then jumped. Didn't say the son jumped voluntarily so maybe he jumped while hug holding him. Pretty tragic but i don't see a reason at all to take the son with him during his suicide attempt.

Maybe the father was his only parent and he didnt want to leave him alone in the world.
