Electrocution of a laborer working on an electric pole: There was sudden power supply, the contractor had not provided safety equipment, officials said, will take action.

A laborer died due to electrocution on an electric pole near Nayakheda four lane highway in Mandsaur Nai Abadi police station area. The deceased was working as a laborer under MPEB contractor.

A resident of Gampong Baroh Village, Setia Bakti District, lost his life after being hit by an electricity pole belonging to PLN (State Electricity Company).

According to him, from information received at around 15.00 WIB, residents passing by the location saw the victim lying near an electricity pole.

"At the time of the incident, no residents saw it. Residents only saw the victim lying near a fallen electricity pole," he said.

Seeing this, the victim was taken to the Pante Kuyun Community Health Center. But unfortunately, the victim died and was immediately taken to the funeral home.
