Sometimes they would die (years) before the completion of their tombs. Like a burial spot on layaway but with a different kind of laying. Seriously though, the ancient Egyptians were culturally enamored with death. They spent more time thinking about and preparing for it than anything else. I think it's healthier that way. Everyone dies, its best to prepare, then it comes with no fear. Almost welcoming it... just not early |
