Re: Deliberate Overdose
With regards to the way she is lying, I would not read to much into it... I had a mate who's wife was a lazy bastard, at least twice a week she would claimed to have fainted, that's how no house work was done... He said it was funny how she always managed to land on the couch |

Re: Deliberate Overdose
Speaking of that note...you ever tried to write something using a ball point pen and a soft couch cushion as the supporting surface underneath? And yet the strength of the ink in this image is consistent throughout (until the oh-so-predictable final line) with no variation in color, no holes poked in the paper.... She's so fucked up from the pills racing through her that the last line trails off like the hit vic in a dime store pulp from the 30's, but every other word manages to be even and steady and well-modulated, despite trying to write on a plush couch cushion? Plus, the pen is tossed as far away from the note as possible, but opposite where her body is putting pressure that would cause it to roll. She was so frustrated at being unable to finish her suicide note that she tossed it to the edge of the cushion before pulling up the blanket and drifting off to sleep? Meh. Again, I am not wholly convinced it is a staged fake. But I am leaning heavily that way. Just doesn't feel right...and this from a guy who has spent many hours per week for the last ten years studying suicide scenes. |

Re: Deliberate Overdose
Seems fake to me. Especially with the suspiciously sloppily written melodramic last line in the note. Like an amateurish actor in her first death scene in a Community Theater production. |

Re: Deliberate Overdose
I am off this week due to a hand injury. I will go down to the main library and see what I can find in the newspaper files. If I come up with something, I will try and e-mail it to Chris. If I don't come up with something, I will let you know that, too. If this is real, there should be something in the news on it. Tucson doesn't have that many deaths, so every one gets reported on.

Re: Deliberate Overdose
Pill overdoses don't typically make the news, suicides are almost intentionally left out of the headlines so as to prevent others from following in suit. Look it up. Best you can do is find local newspaper in Tucson, read back to 2007 and try to find an obituary of a 26-year-old woman by the name of Amy. Obituaries are your best bet, not actual headlines. But obituaries rarely specify the cause of death. Wish you luck on your endeavors. |

Re: Deliberate Overdose
And I looked Tucson up, I don't think it's a "small" town. We have tiny-ass towns here in Arkansas where one natural death of old age can rattle a community for months. I am assuming that Tucson, a mid-sized to large city, is different.
