Re: DeeDee Blanchard Murder

Gypsy's father was in her life. She dumped the boyfriend and was engaged the last I heard.

Re: DeeDee Blanchard Murder

I believe Patricia Arquette received an Emmy win for her portrayal of DeeDee Blanchard.
Are you sure it wasn't her sister Rosanne for Gipsy role?

Re: DeeDee Blanchard Murder

"...relatives exhibit a rather chilling lack of regret about the way things ended for Dee Dee. In the documentary, Claude Pitre and his wife agree that his daughter “got what she deserved” as they describe flushing her ashes down the toilet."

that's from rolling stones article.

She was a monster. They are right.

well if you're ok with flushing your daughter's ashes down the toilet, you might as well just flush her when she was just a newborn.

pretty same level of empathy and responsibility.

it's all runs in a family, as i said.

Re: DeeDee Blanchard Murder

also whoever fathered this girl deserves a Medal of Honor or something. surely it was an act of VALOR.
DeeDee actually wasnt bad looking when she was younger, around the time she got pregnant. She definitely wasnt obese like she was later in life

Re: DeeDee Blanchard Murder

Unfortunately, Gypsy's boyfriend was also a victim. He was very autistic but highly functioning. Even though I felt sorry for her ,once she realized what her Mom had been doing, Gypsy completely manipulated that poor boy who had never even been away from home into killing her mother.
The boyfriend was a sicko who had been arrested for jacking off in the front window of a McDonald's while watching porn on his laptop for NINE HOURS.

Re: DeeDee Blanchard Murder

I usually have a hard time empathizing with the offenders. Gypsy, however, is one of the few exceptions. Her mom was basically abusive, she did not allow her daughter to grow up normally but instead brainwashed her into believing she was ill and disabled beyond cure. I don't believe for a second DeeDee actually ever loved her daughter. Gypsy was just means to an end for her, someone she could use as a tool for eliciting praise and sympathy for herself. No wonder Gypsy was so confused and genuinely believed killing her mother was the only way out. I believe her remorse is real and hope she'd get back on her feet now that she's married and released from prison.

The scariest monsters are not those who act outwardly in a wayward manner. They are those who put on an act, pretending to be loving and caring while causing insurmountable amount of harm to the people around them. And the scariest thing is that they truly believe they've got someone's best interests at heart. That they love them.
