I remember researching this on the Internet few years back. they leave corpses up there simply because its too hard to take them back down. the weather and climb is extreme and its pretty much every man for themselves. the third photo was a missing man for decades and decades. I forget his name but climbers had recently found him and identified him by his equipment. the whole video of when they found his corpse is on YouTube

The first pic is from a documentary about Everest. A group came upon him in the same cave as the guy below him w/ the green boots, blue pants and red jacket. He was still alive when they saw him but they elected to continue to the summit. There's another thread somewhere that mentions it. Brutal stuff.
