A 36-year-old woman, I.A.C., was killed after being shot six times (or eight times, sources vary) in the chest and head at a bar in Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. According to witnesses, two men on a motorcycle had arrived at the scene. One of them entered the bar, shot I. dead without saying a single word, and then fled. I. left behind two children, aged 16 and 7. According to law enforcement sources, I.'s partner was attacked by hitmen a few months ago while at a restaurant, while a friend who accompanied him was executed.  ·  · |

On the afternoon of 1st December 2023 in Hortolândia (Brazil), 44 year old E.S.S. was found dead. 'E' had been stabbed in the neck + chest. Her body also showed signs of torture. A blood-stained blouse was found near her body, as well as a mobile phone. After she had been killed, 'E's body had been dragged onto the train tracks. The police believe that this was an attempt to cover up the crime. The main suspect is her neighbour. 'E's family stated that he had been harassing her, as well as breaking into her home to steal items.  ·  ·
